Rick Barton:

Rick's background in theater goes back 35 years to his days in high school and college at Cal Poly, Pomona. After 30 years of technical expertise for Nordstrom, Warner Bros., Nickelodeon Studios, Seventeen Magazine, and KROQ Radio, to name a few, Rick was excited to return to his roots in live theater production with the tours of "Say Goodnight, Gracie" and "Bermuda Avenue Triangle." Owner of Barton Designs, a production company, for the past 25 years, Rick is also currently designing for Kinetic Lighting in Los Angeles. Specializing in live events, Rick is a hands-on project manager for live events and has led over 2700 events to date. Rick enjoys set, audio, lighting design and production.



Claudia Barton

Claudia's love of theater was nourished by the 15 years she spent as a dancer. Her move to technical theater began in high school and college at Cal Poly, Pomona. Beginning her career working in a fashion production company led Claudia to combine her theater background with her love for fashion. Providing technical services for numerous fashion shows each year keeps her up to date in this live event specialty.

Claudia's interest in philanthropy has encouraged her to focus on the special needs of charity events, allowing her to work with employees and volunteers with equal ease and understanding. She has found that sharing her design expertise with the technical theater students at Santa Susana High, the Technology and Performing Arts Magnet school in Simi Valley, CA has been very rewardiing. Claudia has said, "It gives me great joy to work with students interested in theater, who are realizing there are viable careers to be had in the arts." Design, which has always been her passion, she embraces with her sets and lighting.
